Adding RAM on May 15 around 9 AM Eastern (New York) time

We are adding more RAM to our servers around 8 AM Eastern (New York) time on Tuesday, May 15, 2007. Both BlogPatrol sites will be down as we have to turn off the servers to do this:

• http://beta.blogpatrol.com <- our test site
• http://www.blogpatrol.com <- our live site

We expect this upgrade to occur very quickly, as the data center will simply notify us when they have completed the task and we will then reboot the servers to get back online.

NOTE: We decided to add even more RAM as a precautionary step to add more capacity to our system since we're expecting to go live with the new database by May 19. We originally went from 2 GB RAM on one machine to 4 GB RAM on two servers. Today's upgrade brings us up to 6 GB RAM on both servers. When we turn all the functionality of the site back on, we want to do everything we can to be able to handle your needs. To do this, since February we've upgraded from 2 GB RAM to 12 GB RAM!
